JOHN'S WALK
Nelson, BC Canada
2010
Situated on the shores of Kootenay Lake in the Nelson subdivision of John's Walk, this lavish Timber Framed residence was meticulously designed and constructed as an LEED Accredited project.
The building envelope was crafted using cutting-edge building assemblies of the era, allowing for optimal insulation levels and minimal thermal bridging.
Inside the home, a custom timber frame takes center stage in the main body of the residence, highlighted by an expansive cathedral ceiling that spans the length of the house. Access to the upper-level bedroom wings is facilitated by a bridge that traverses the cathedral space. Tucked into the upper level is a library and seating area that offers sweeping views of Kootenay Lake through the cathedral window walls.
